CREATE FREEDOM ARTIVIST FELLOWSHIP
This powerful six-week program offers young people the opportunity to use art and artivism as a means to tell their story and share their experiences while exploring critical topics such as abolition, grassroots organizing, and movement building.
The Fellowship engages young people (18-25 years old) with experience in the foster care system, youth with incarcerated parents, youth of the global majority, LGBTQIA2S+ youth, and youth with disabilities, lifting and amplifying voices that might otherwise be silenced by oppressive systems, providing a space that cultivates resources, fosters curiosity, and furthers exploration of self, community and the world at large.

This fellowship will allow participants to explore artivism as a means to tell their story to the world and explore topics such as movement building, grassroots organizing, abolition, and more. The program aims to uplift voices that would otherwise be silenced by oppressive systems, to empower participants to engage in their communities
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
The CFAF is FREE to all of our fellows!
During this fellowship, our fellows:
- Engage with abolitionists, activists, scholars, community organizers, artists, and artivists.
- Receive a $500 stipend!
- Books, computers, resources, and more!
Why do we need additional funding? Most of our fellows work and may miss a few days to attend. So as not to hinder their participation, we would like to increase their stipends. Additionally, all of our guests and speakers identify similarly to our fellows and have traditionally been underfunded and underpaid for their work. We want to disrupt that.
